Feels great to have finished two quilts!

Happy day!  I finished two quilts.  One took me only a few months to make, the other was started about ten years ago.  One has been gifted and the will be gifted very soon.

I’m about to head off for five days of quilting in Healdsburg, which always presents me with a dilemma.  Do I start a new project while I’m up there or shall I be totally practical and take a few quilts to finish by actually binding them.  I’ll probably take a mix of projects.  I know I’ll also take my watercolors, pens and pencils and scraps of paper for collage along with my trusty UHU glue stick.  I never know what kind of mood I’ll be in but will be prepared for about anything.

For the most part I go to the quilt retreat to be with friends, catch up on news, and in this day and age, simply have some face to face contact with long time friends. Sadly two of my favorite people will not be there.  One has chosen to go to Hawaii with her daughter, I mean really!? the other moved to the beautiful Northwest.  I’ll miss both of them.

In the mean time, happy creating my friends!
