This is still a quilting blog...

Though you would never know it by all the watercolors.

The Jane LaFazio watercolor class that I have been taking for the last six weeks is coming to an end.  Throughout the six weeks I have been absolutely amazed at what one can learn taking an on line class.  Each week we have been given new assignments that we post on a class forum.  We then get feedback not only from the teacher but also from other students.  There are some amazing artists that have been taking the class and just seeing how they approach a subject has been a valuable lesson.  I have loved it and been somewhat surprised that I could even do it. Check out all my watercolor pages to see the machine made objects that we painted this last week.  They were by far the most difficult.

Now I’m ready to sign up for Jane’s next class which doesn’t start until August.  That class will be a watercolor on location class, which means we will go to museums, parks etc. to paint.  Lucky me.  After the first three weeks of class, my location will be Italy.  How lovely a location can one hope for.

Now it’s back to quilting...
