Keeping Busy

My bags are packed and I’m just about ready to go off to a five day art and quilting retreat.  I will be taking 4 different classes, some working with watercolor, some with fabric and one with acrylics!  No I am not going to start painting with acrylics, that is simply what is required what looks like will be an amazing class.  Before attending class I need to do two under-paintings that will be a framework for collage.  The collage will be done with papers we are painting.  I really don’t know what to expect but I am excited.  In the mean time I have been finishing up a couple of baby quilts, one above and venturing out with my Tuesday Morning painters group.  Last Tuesday we went to CornerStone in Sonoma.  What a beautiful and unique spot.  It is made up of all kinds of creative gardens filled with sculptures, ponds and unusual plants.  There are also several interesting shops, several galleries and a wonderful cafe.

But always the highlights of my day are when I get to talk to my sons and when I receive photo streams or do Facetime with my sweetest ever grandchildren.  What a joy!
